EXTERIOR MARKET PLACE

Enhancement of St-Ambroise Street and the under-used space between the Atwater Market and the Lachine Canal since 2017, realized within the framework of the City of Montreal's Pedestrian and Shared Streets program. With the installation of colourful fabric parklets, the enhancement of the terrace and the edge of the canal, La Pépinière was able to recreate a neighbourhood square that has become a privileged gathering place for locals and visitors.

The new plaza, with its large public terrace and self-service BBQ, has developed new habits of frequentation for locals who did not necessarily recognize themselves in the Atwater Market, or to complement the experience of its regulars.

Over the years, the project has developed a multitude of collaborations with local organizations and merchants.
