Each year, the Swedish grand strategy game studio Paradox Interactive hosts PDXCON, one of the largest and nerdiest annual gaming celebrations in the industry, bringing together a global community of diverse fans and players to get the latest on Paradox games and news. This time around, the pandemic forced Paradox to find a way to create their signature in-person event online.
The gaming company Paradox Interactive knew their world-renowned convention PDXCon wouldn't be anything other than digital in 2021. For the first time in an event of this kind, we used gaming creation tools, UNREAL engine to build 12 immersive 3D worlds.
